VRANOV NAD DYJÍ STATE CHATEAU

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 15 AND SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 16, 2007

On the occasion of the Days of European Heritage, this year’s theme being crafts and folk culture, the chateau chapel will be opened (free of charge, including a guided tour) in addition to the traditional first circuit and the “Charms of the Oriental Salon” exhibition. The chateau administration will also organise a lecture (in Czech) for the public on the history and produce of the famous Vranov stoneware, held on September 15, 2007. The audience will also have an opportunity to acquaint themselves in detail with representative stoneware items, mostly from the second and third quarters of the 19th century. The event starts at 4.30 p.m. at the chateau ticket office. As the size of the audience is limited(!) for reasons beyond our control, visitors interested in participation are requested to book the lecture in advance in writing, by telephone or using e-mail.
