“The 2007 Vranov lily”

The seventh year of a flower exhibition in the installed chateau interiors featuring festive flower arrangements in a historic style, dominated by the lily. Organised by the Brno Flower Gallery and the National Institute for the Protection and Conservation of Monuments and Sites – the Vranov nad Dyjí State Chateau Administration. Open from June 15 to June 22, 2007, daily except Monday from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. as part of the chateau tour or separately from 4.20 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

“Charms of the Oriental Salon”

Great seasonal exhibition documenting the beauty of Chinese and Japanese art crafts, which often decorated the interiors of European chateaux. The exhibits were kindly lent by the Moravian Gallery Brno and state chateaux in Buchlovice, Dačice, Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou, Lednice na Moravě, Lysice, Náměšť nad Oslavou, Rájec nad Svitavou, Vizovice, and Vranov nad Dyjí. Venue – old carriage barn in front of the main gate. Organiser – National Heritage Institute Brno – Administration of the State Chateau Vranov nad Dyjí The exhibition is open from June 21 to September 30, 2007. Opening hours: June – daily except Mondays, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM, July and August – daily except Mondays, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM, September – weekends only, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

“Podyjí in art”

Exhibition of works depicting the natural beauties of the Podyjí and Thayatal National Parks by Austrian painters and sculptors. Organised by the National Park Podyjí, the National Park Thayatal, and the National Heritage Institute Brno – Administration of the State Chateau Vranov nad Dyjí in co-operation with the Austrian Cultural Forum Prague. Venue – old burgrave’s house at the chateau, where the seasonal information point of the National Park Podyjí will also be opened. The exhibition is open from June 9 to August 31, daily except Mondays. Opening hours: June – 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM, July and August: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

“The Christmas and the Virgin Mary 2007”

The fourth year of an exhibition of sculptures, paintings and nativity scenes showing Christmas themes in the works of historic art and contemporary displays of both professional and folk artists. Venue – the former carriage house building in front of the entrance gate to the chateau. Open between December 26, 2007 and January 1, 2008 – always from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For groups available at any time based on previous arrangement.
