"GENTLEMEN’S SALON IN NOBLE SEATS"

Noble hobbies and “lecherous” pursuits of aristocrats in the last two centuries of the Habsburg monarchy’s existence. Twelfth year of the seasonal exhibition in the former coach shed in front of the entry gate to the chateau presenting original fixtures from South Moravian and South Bohemian castles and chateaus depositories and from leading Moravian museums and galleries. Organiser: National Institute for Monument Protection –Vranov nad Dyjí state chateau administration. Location – former coach shed in front of the entrance gate to the chateau. Open from June 18th till September 30th, 2010, whilst June daily, except Mondays, from 9.30 AM till 4 PM, In July and August daily, except Mondays and the day following bank holidays, from 9.30 AM till 5 PM, in September from 9.30 AM till 4 PM on weekends only. Commented viewing for visitors on Thursday July 15th and on Friday August 20th, 2010. Beginning at 5 PM. The number of visitors is limited, pre-booking is required.

"AMOUR ENCOUNTERS"

Paintings by Naděžda Čichovská inspired by the theme of Christian prayer. The first year of artistic exhibition in the chateau chapel. Organiser: National Institute for Monument Protection - Vranov nad Dyjí state chateau administration. Open – as part of the official chapel viewing with expert commentary – from June 19 till September 30th, 2010, whilst in July and August from 9 AM till 5 PM every day except Mondays and days following a bank holiday and in June and September only on weekends from 9 AM till 4 PM. The exhibition may be viewed also outside the given time provided the chateau is open to the public in accordance with the Visitor Code but only if operational conditions of the site allow.

"VRANOV LILY 2010"

The tenth year of floral exhibition with a festive historical style arrangement dominated by lilies will be installed in the Hall of Ancestors and anterooms only for economic reasons. Organisers – National Institute for Monument Protection - Vranov nad Dyjí state chateau administration and Brno Florist Gallery. Open daily except Mondays, from Friday June 18th, 2010, till Thursday June 24th, 2010, from 9 AM till 4 PM only with ordinary viewing of the chateau.

"OUTDOOR RAMBLING THROUGH A CHILD’S EYES"

Selection of children drawings from the ten-year history of the competition “Nature around us” augmented with woodcarvings by major regional artist Tomáš Motka. The seventh year of the exhibition in the Thayana gallery in the first courtyard (opposite the cash point). The exhibition is organised by the administration of Podyjí National Park and Šumná Centre for Children and Young People in liaison with the National Institute for Monument Protection –Vranov nad Dyjí state chateau administration. Open from June 1, 2010, to September 30, 2010, while in June, July and August daily from 9 AM till 5 PM except Mondays and the day after a bank holidays, in September only on weekends from 9.00 AM till 5 PM. Information point of the Podyjí National Park will be open in situ.

CHRISTMAS EXHIBITION

Organisation of the seventh year in the building of the former chateau carriage shed is uncertain for financial reasons. The chateau administration will rule on it by the end of August 2010 at the latest (possible theme – puppets and toys in chateau and outside).
