BALANCING THE CHATEAU VISITING ATTENDANCE IN 2009

A total of 67,328 people visited the chateau in individual circuits in 2009. Of this figure 28,238 paid reduced admission fees (the elderly, children, students, the handicapped and others) and 2,645 foreigners, mostly Austrians and Germans as well as Britons, Poles, Russians, Dutch and others. A large seasonal exhibition called “Vranov stoneware” was seen by 12,475 visitors and the floral exhibition in historical style “Vranov lily 2009” by 1,783 people. 17,263 visitors arrived at the “Bohumír Prokůpek – Podyjí” exhibition. The sixth year of Christmas exhibition this time entitled “Christmas with toys of our grandfathers and grandmothers” was seen by more than 2,500 people. Ten concerts, theatre performances and other culture events of the 27th year of Vranov Culture Summer were attended by 1,628 viewers and listeners.
