Church weddings at the state chateau Vranov nad Dyjí

The chapel of Holy Trinity is available only for church weddings and other Christian liturgical ceremonies. This unique jewel of European baroque architecture is available for weddings from September to June, daily except Mondays, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, July and August between 12:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

People interested in civil weddings must meet the following requirements:

• arrange the term of the wedding well in advance in co-operation with the chateau office (tel. 515 296 215)
• arrange all the administrative issues relating to the wedding as required by the law, in co-operation with the Registry Office of the Township Vranov nad Dyjí (tel. 515 296 312 , e-mail miklikova@ouvranov.cz), and apply for approval for a church wedding issued by the same office – this approval is to be presented to the priest
• arrange for a church wedding with the Parish Office in Vranov nad Dyjí (tel. 515 296 384) or with the office of other catholic or non-catholic parish
• prior to the wedding an administrative charge of CZK 3,570 inclusive of VAT shall be paid to the chateau office
• at least 15 minutes before the ceremony, all the wedding participants shall gather on access path in front of the entrance to the chapel.

Number of participants. The chapel interior is not heated all year round and its pews can take up to 20 – 25 seated persons, other approximately 50 - 60 people may be present standing.

Flower decorations are installed on the main altar only. Floral decorations of the pews and side altars must be provided by the spouses if they require them.

Music may be performed only live and arranged by the spouses. Upon previous arrangements the chapel organ can be used for this purpose.

Parking. The maximum of five vehicles may park on the first and second courtyards; the drivers shall not use horns when entering or leaving the premises. Other cars may park in front of the stables or on the municipal car park below the chateau. In specially substantiated cases the chateau office may grant an exception from this rule.

Cloakroom for the spouses is not available.

Photography and camcorder use in the chapel is arranged by the spouses. Photography in other chateau interiors, if the spouses require it, is possible with the spouses’ own photographer after the wedding ceremony, with the maximum of 10 people taking part and only under the supervision of the chateau office staff. Filming is not allowed there.

After the wedding, the wedding participants may be present on the second courtyard until the end of the opening hours. However, all of the participants must observe the rules as stated in the Visitor Code. It is also necessary for them to keep reasonably quiet not to disturb other visitors. Own music performances, loud behaviour, rice throwing and other traditions are not allowed on the second courtyard. If the spouses wish a horse-drawn carriage on the second courtyard this is possible only upon the previous consent of the chateau office.

Rental of the Hall of Ancestors, Entrance Hall, southern terrace, and the second courtyard for wedding feasts is possible only between May and October. The price of the rental ranges between CZK 85,000 and 200,000 (view more .....).
