VRANOV CHATEAU, PARTNER TO LOWER AUSTRIAN REGIONAL EXHIBITION 2009

Lower Austrian Regional Exhibition 2009 called “AUSTRIA – CZECH REPUBLIC IN THE HEART OF EUROPE” subtitled “DIVIDED- SEPARATED- UNITED” will be held on the theme of joint Czech and Austrian history and will focus especially on the neighbouring regions from both sides of the border. It is intended to present a common history with all its cracks and differences, familiarise us with the fate of the border regions, joint traditions, ideological and ethnical boundaries, as well as language, culture or different religions, without ‘dumbing down’ and glossing over, and thus contribute to mutual understanding between the two nations.
The exhibition will be held between April 18 and November 1 in Horn, Raabs and in Moravian Telč. Along with Dačice and Telč state chateaus, our chateau has become an official partner for the Czech side. This means, among other things, that in exchange for an exhibition ticket visitors will receive a 15-30% discount on the basic entrance fee to view Vranov chateau installed interiors (see details in Basic Services / Sightseeing Circuits). Moreover, they can view the “Vranov stoneware exhibition – 210 years from establishing the factory” open between June 12 and August 31 and over weekends in September free of charge. Conversely, presenting our chateau ticket will entitle visitors to a discounted entrance fee of CZK 200t o view the Regional Exhibition. Presenting a ticket for the Lower Austrian Regional Exhibition 2009 will entitle visitors to a discount through inclusion in the lower ticket fee category, but surcharges for commentary in a foreign language shall remain at full price. Conversely, when presenting a ticket from Vranov chateau, a discounted fee can be obtained for viewing the regional exhibition in the amount of CZK 200. Presenting an entrance ticket for the Lower Austrian Regional Exhibition 2009 entitles visitors to a free tour of the Vranov third circuit.
