Visitors are sure to notice that lawn was removed from the second courtyard during the winter season. The lawn was the last remnant of extensive adjustments, which probably took place at the end of the 1930’s. Another thing to disappear was a small interior fountain, which was placed there for no apparent reason some thirty years ago. Nowadays, the second courtyard is once again decorated with potted plants and arranged in a style that was characteristic of this place from the late 18th century throughout the entire 19th century. In those days, the ground was covered with sand, and corresponded better with the calm classical look of the surrounding chateau facades.
