JANUARY 2 - OVERVIEW OF VISITOR NUMBERS AT THE CHATEAU IN 2007

In 2007, the chateau was visited by a total of 67,219 people following the individual visitor circuits. 32,618 of them were people paying reduced admission (seniors, children, students, disabled, etc.) and 3,191 foreigners, mainly Austrians and Germans, as well as British, Polish, Russians, Dutch, and others. The great seasonal exhibition called “Charms of the Oriental Salon” that presented the beauty of Chinese and Japanese arts and crafts was visited by 13,486 people, and 1,960 people visited the historic flower show “Vranov Lilly 2007”. Almost 18,000 people visited the exhibition of Austrian painters and sculptors called “Podyjí through the eyes of artists”, which presented artworks inspired by the nature and landscape of Podyjí and Thayatal national parks. The fourth year of the exhibition of sculptures, paintings, and nativity scenes illustrating the Christmas atmosphere in historic artworks as well as contemporary works by professional and folk artists was visited by 619 people. More than 1,800 people visited the ten concerts and theatre performances of the jubilee XXV Vranov Culture Summer.
