The Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic rejected the declaratory action of the nineteen descendants of the last private owner of the chateau Adam Zbyněk Leon Stadnicky, who wanted to receive back ownership. The court confirmed the previous decree of the district, regional, and supreme courts. The question remains whether this is a definitive end to the long restitution dispute that has continued since 1992. The Stadnicky family and their descendants, who sometimes visit the chateau and maintain a correct relationship with its custodians, may wish to pursue further legal action at European courts.
