THE HOLIDAY OF THE VRANOV STONEWARE

The great seasonal exhibition “Vranov Stoneware” installed in the building of the former carriage house in front of the main entry to the chateau was opened in the afternoon on Thursday, June 11. The festive social event with the romantic music of Vilém Blodek and accompanying figures in contemporary costumes was introduced by the author of the exhibition, Mgr. Miroslava Janíčková and, on behalf of the co-organisers, the head of the South Moravian Museum, Ing. Vladimíra Durajková. Over 130 guests were present at the opening, including the head of the Austrian Cultural Centre in Prague, representatives of the Austrian Hardegg border region, personnel of the regional cultural institutions, castellans and their representatives from nearby monuments, sponsors, journalists and other important guests. They appreciated, among other things, the comprehensive concept of the exhibition including the results of systematic research in the past few years and the original architectonic design of the exhibition. The opening was accompanied by the opening of a short-term exhibition, the 9th year of the “Vranov Lilly”, dominated by a generous white-blue composition in the Hall of Ancestors, evoking a fountain with running water.
