The family of the Counts of Althann lost the chateau more than 200 years ago, but the portraits of the members of the ancillary Hrušovany line are returning. Visitors may see for themselves in the newly furnished corridor between the gentlemen’s parlour and so-called anteroom, part of the first sightseeing circuit. Seven interesting Althann likenesses from the third quarter of eight-eenth century, some of which are newly restored, create a peculiar mini-gallery while amplifying the historic ambience of authenticity.
